Food Services

Mealtime is a special time for our residents and our dietary staff delights in providing the best of food and service. Three tasteful meals are served daily in our warm, inviting dining rooms by the area's best cooks. Snacks and special diets are provided as needed. Menus are approved by a Licensed Dietitian.

Medical / Personal Care

Dr. Stewart of the Coats Medical Center serves as the Medical Director for the home. He is available to consult and assist as needed. Brookfield's staff of qualified healthcare professionals provides 24-hour care to all residents in a warm and secure environment. A Registered Nurse (RN) reviews medical and personal care services periodically. All personal caregivers are certified and experienced Nurse's Aides. All Medication Techs are reviewed by an RN and are certified by the State Of North Carolina. A licensed pharmacist provides a quarterly review of all medications. All residents have the option of having the doctor of their choice.

All vital signs of the residents are monitored and charted on a regular basis. Medications and treatments are administered in accordance with physicians' orders. Additional in-home healthcare services are available from Home Health for those that may require specialized care, such as physical therapy. Brookfield also welcomes individuals during periods of recuperation from illness and at other times when short-term care is helpful.

Brookfield is person-centered, and all incentives are geared toward keeping each resident healthy through prevention, primary care and wellness. Health maintenance and wellness programs are developed on an individual basis in conjunction with the resident, the family members, the physician and our staff.

Services and amenities available include, but not limited to the following:

• Assistance with personal care, such as dressing, grooming, bathing, eating locomotion, toileting, walking, wheelchairs, etc.

The Activities Director coordinates a wide range of activities to meet the individual needs and desires of our residents. Among the regular events are outing, shopping, movies, field trips and parties. In addition, craft sessions, Bible study and church services are held regularly. The quiet prayer room is available at all times, inviting individuals to pause for meditation. All birthdays and holidays are observed at Brookfield. Our Christmas party is a special time for all of our residents.

Personal Commitment

As owners/administrator, we are long-time Harnett County residents living within three miles of the home. We have over 30 years of experience in the managing/owning of Adult Healthcare Centers and the serving of Senior Citizens. It is our personal commitment to care for each person as if they were our own parents.
